Nowadays, you can regularly see Heidi touring as a dancer and dance caller with the Darren Nicholson Band, bringing live mountain music and American dance traditions to events and festivals.
From Tennessee celebrations to North Carolina barn dances, their live bluegrass pairs with square and contra dancing for an evening everyone can be part of. Heidi guides the steps with clear instructions and a warm welcome.
She also teaches line dancing for private events and community groups. First time on the dance floor? Come on in.

From Greenville, Michigan, to stages and dance floors across the country, movement has always been part of Heidi’s story.
Heidi grew up dancing with three generations of her family. Her career spans clogging, Irish step dance, rhythm tap, line dancing, and other traditional and contemporary forms of percussive dance.
As a principal dancer and co-choreographer with Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble, she toured extensively. Her guest artist credits include Nickel Creek, Lúnasa, Balsam Range, Uncle Earl, and Eileen Ivers.
She holds a B.A. in Theatrical Arts from Mars Hill University, where she served as dance captain and choreographer for the national champion Bailey Mountain Cloggers. She is also a member of the All-American Clogging Team.
In Pigeon Forge, Heidi worked as a featured soloist, dance captain, and entertainer in productions including The Comedy Barn, Smoky Mountain Opry, and Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. Her credits also include Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales in Gatlinburg.
Nowadays, you can regularly see Heidi touring as a dancer and dance caller with the Darren Nicholson Band. She also judges dance competitions across the USA and works with personal training clients in Sevier County.
A NASM-certified personal trainer and active Yoga Alliance RYT 200, she brings a performer’s understanding of movement and a teacher’s encouragement to everything she does.
